Why you should consider a smaller wedding.
When it comes to weddings, everyone has a different view of a dream wedding; From the venue, videographer, wedding photographer, wedding flowers, table decoration, room decoration, wedding favours, food, wedding cake, wedding dress, wedding suit, shoes to the size of the wedding. However sometimes things work out differently and if you always dreamed of a massive wedding but your fiance can’t stand the thought of it; below are a few points why you might want to consider having a smaller wedding.
Having a smaller budget?
With a smaller and intimate wedding you can actually achieve the wedding of your dreams. You can have the flowers or the dress you always dreamt of.
Smaller weddings are much easier to plan.
Some people just love planning their wedding but some don’t. It can be quite overwhelming and a full time job. If you don’t want to wait a year or two then a smaller wedding is the easier option.
Invite only who matter
A small wedding is a good excuse not to invite all the uncles, aunts and couins you haven’t seen in years.
You will have time for your guests.
The best thing about a small wedding is that you can spent some valuable time with friends and family. Also your guests know each other or actually can get to know each other.
You’re fiance doesn’t like being the centre of attention?
If you’re someone or your fiance who doesn’t like being the centre of attention but still don’t want to miss out on a wedding day with your loved ones then this is probably the better option for you. You will actually spent your wedding day with people you spend your time on a daily basis anyway.
Chantel and Tommy planned to get married in summer 2020 but then they received an unexpected but beautiful surprise. So they just moved the wedding forward and had an intimate winter wedding instead with the closest friends and family. Also Tommy doesn’t like being the centre of attention so for him a small wedding was ideal.
The two spent the night before with their witnesses at a lovely AirBnB in the city centre of Reading. They all got ready together and walked to the reception the Reading Town Hall which was only down the road.
After the ceremony the new wed couple celebrated in a private room at the Best Western Hotel in Calcot, Reading.
