In August this year I’ve photographed as a second shooter my first destination wedding in the scenic countryside of Tuscany. It was like a dream came true. Traveling is my biggest goal in life and being able to combine it with my passion photographing amazing couples, was my highlight this year.
Agnes and Rob hired the gorgeous villa Country Relais & Spa Le Capanne just outside of the most beautiful and photogenic medieval town Volterra. They spent already two days before their big day with their family and friends having BBQ s, pool party and preparing the villa for their wedding day. What a great start to celebrate their love for each other.
The Tuscan sun was already incredibly hot in the morning and everyone was looking forward to the ceremony and the cooling church walls. Everyone was waiting patiently for the bride to arrive in the beautiful church Sant’Agostino in San Gimignano. Unfortunately not everything went as planned. When Agnes was ready to get in the car a storm started outside. It rained so heavily that a tree crashed on the main road to the church and forced the car to turn around and try to find a different way. But luckily at the same minute Agnes arrives at the church it stops raining.
The rest of the day it stayed dry; though at the end everyone was happy it rained as it cooled down slightly.
I will never forget the sounds and the stunning colours of Tuscany.
